Official Cherry County criminal records must come from the office that keeps them. This private reference site does not fill requests or hold case files. The contacts below route arrest and booking questions to the sheriff and Justice Center, misdemeanor matters to Cherry County Court, and felony case-file requests to the District Court Clerk in Valentine.

This Is Not a Government Office. This private site cannot retrieve or correct records, conduct official checks, or accept a Nebraska set-aside filing. Contact the responsible public office.

Cherry County records are divided among three local counters and the Nebraska State Patrol:

  • Sheriff and Justice Center: 365 N. Main St. #13, Valentine, NE 69201; 402-376-1890. Sheriff's office hours are weekdays, 8:30-noon and 1:00-4:30. Call for routing, local custody, booking information, or the process for a written public-record request.
  • Cherry County Court: 365 N. Main St. #12, Valentine, NE 69201; 402-376-2590; fax 402-376-5942. Hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00-noon and 1:00-4:30, but the Judicial Branch lists a different noon reopening, so call first.
  • District Court Clerk: 365 N. Main St., Valentine, NE 69201; 402-376-1840; fax 402-376-3830. This is the counter for District Court felony files and certified case records.
  • Nebraska RAP sheets: request statewide fingerprint-linked criminal history from the Nebraska State Patrol Criminal Identification Division.
  • Police reports: ask the agency that created the incident report, such as Valentine Police rather than a court clerk.
  • Nebraska set-asides: file in the same Cherry County court that entered the judgment.

The Cherry County Sheriff does not publish a separate records-division portal or request form. Telephone routing, an in-person inquiry at Suite 13, or a focused written Nebraska Public Records Act request are the documented county channels.
